How to create order in your four walls with kitchen magnets

In every kitchen, kitchen utensils accumulate over time. If the necessary storage space is missing, it can quickly end in chaos.
A tidy and orderly kitchen not only looks good, but also invites you to linger. Cooking is just more fun when you know exactly where your kitchen tools are hidden. With our kitchen magnets you can easily create order.
We show you how it works.

Use your fridge in the kitchen as a magnetic board

The refrigerator is a key item in every kitchen.
It is opened or closed several times a day and all family members pass through it regularly. Therefore, the good piece is perfect for attaching important notes or nice memories such as pictures. Rustproof kitchen magnets hold your shopping lists or recipes so that you can find them again at any time and the notes are not scattered around the kitchen. The refrigerator door is usually made of magnetic material - so it offers the ideal surface for attaching the practical magnets.

Inconspicuous magnetic strips as kitchen magnets turn your kitchen wall into a shelf

Magnetic metal strips are particularly useful additions to your kitchen. You can screw it on anywhere you like or stick it to a smooth surface. The magnetic effect makes it possible for you to easily attach kitchen utensils such as the range of knives or other metal kitchen tools to the strip. This not only brings order to your kitchen, but also creates additional storage space. Knife strips increase safety in the kitchen workspace by keeping the blades out of the way and elegantly showcasing your expensive pieces.

But you can also use magnetic strips in other ways. Simply mount these at eye level above your worktop to pin recipes to with kitchen magnets. Annoying search for papers while you cook is a thing of the past.

No drilling, no gluing - just paint!

Have you ever thought about giving your kitchen a new coat of paint? Maybe you should, because you can transform your kitchen walls into a practical magnetic surface with strong magnetic paint. All you must do is outline the desired size of the area with masking tape and then apply the paint evenly. After three coats, the paint should cover well and hold all the magnets on the wall. It is best to use strong magnets that hold your notes securely to the magnetic paint.

The kitchen magnet all-purpose weapon: Magnetic hook

Wondering what to do with all your kitchen utensils that are made of non-magnetic materials - like wood?
The solution: Magnetic hooks! You can easily attach these to a magnetic board, wall, or strip in your kitchen. The following kitchen utensils find their place on the hook-shaped kitchen magnets and are therefore neatly stowed away:

  • Towels
  • Oven mitts
  • Ladle
  • Cooking spoon

The big advantage of magnetic hooks as kitchen magnets is that you can attach them to a different place in your kitchen at any time and thus remain completely flexible.

DIY - Build an attractive spice rack with kitchen magnets

It's very easy to build your own magnetic storage system for spice jars with the help of magnets for the kitchen. All you need is the following:

  • One or more powerful magnetic strips
  • Storage jars with screw caps
  • Disc-shaped magnets (e.g., Ø 20.0 x 1.5 mm N45 made of nickel)

First mount the magnetic strips in a suitable place so that the magnetic surfaces point vertically downwards. Again, you have the choice of screwing or simply using self-adhesive magnets.

Then attach the discmagnets to the inside of the cover so that they cannot be seen later. Fill the glasses with spices or pasta or rice.
If you hold the glasses to the rail, they stay securely in place and do not waste valuable storage space in your kitchen. Your magnetic spice rack is ready!

New shine thanks to a magnetic splash guard made of Plexiglas

Do you want something new in your kitchen? A magnetic splash guard made of colored Plexiglas could be the solution. Measure the area you want to renew and write down the dimensions. You can first choose a magnetic glass board for your kitchen at your trusted hardware store or online and then have it cut to size.

You should do the same with the metallic background surface. This should be made of magnetic material such as iron or nickel. Make sure that the acrylic glass pane is not completely transparent but has a colored accent so that the metal plate cannot be seen later. You can either carefully attach the metal-glass combination with screws or with special acrylic glass holders that hold the glass securely in place.

A magnetic splash guard for your kitchen offers you various advantages:

  • A magnetic surface for attaching notes
  • A writable background for quick notes
  • A visual improvement in your kitchen
  • A splash guard that is easily washable after cooking

Now you only need strong magnets for your kitchen - for example those made of neodymium - which can be attached to the glass and hold your recipes well on the new magnetic board.
