Securely attach satellite antenna to motorhome roof

Securely attach satellite antenna to motorhome roof: here's how!

Before you crawl into bed, you want to watch some TV - but wait: how do you actually attach a satellite antenna to a motorhome securely yet flexibly? After all, the antenna has to be realigned at each location. Once correctly adjusted, it should also reliably hold that position. Otherwise, the picture would suddenly disappear in the middle of a soccer game - nobody wants that!

We used:

• 4 Neodymium pot magnet Ø 36.0 x 7.5 mm, internal thread M6, holds 30 kg
• 4 screws (M6) of appropriate length (depending on the satellite antenna mount)
• A piece of rubber or pond liner to protect the vehicle from scratches
• And, of course, the antenna mount

The pot magnets are attached to the mount with M6 screws. The foil or rubber is simply placed underneath and does not need to be attached separately. The thinner the foil, the better the magnets adhere. But even a foil as thick as 1 mm is no problem for the magnets.
Once the antenna is in place, it can be aligned. The magnets hold it securely in place. Please note that the roof must be made of metal – a plastic roof is obviously not suitable.

Now nothing stands in the way of a cozy evening watching TV in your mobile home!
The next morning, the satellite antenna can be easily removed until it is quickly and easily reinstalled that evening – at the next stop.
