Attachment of enamel signs
The customer used our products to mount enamel signs that he would like to proudly display.
Passion for collecting
I collect enameled historical signs from insurance companies that I would like to display.
Typically, such signs are screwed on. Screwing them on makes them difficult to replace later.
The result is often unsightly drill holes in stone or wooden walls, and in the worst case, I would damage these precious and valuable enamel signs.
The enamel could chip off due to drilling. The value of the sign would be reduced by half due to damage, which I absolutely want to avoid.
The same thing could happen if the screwdriver slipped; that would be devastating!
Advantages and Disadvantages of the following mounting options
- No damage at all
- No adhesive residue
- No annoying screwing and unscrewing (with the risk of slipping and chipping of the enamel)
- Removable at any time, flexibly movable
- Even curved metal panels can be securely attached using magnets of different heights (possibly several on top of each other)
- Inexpensive mounting alternative
- On publicly accessible exterior walls, a screw solution would be more secure against theft.
As a collector of these insurance plates, I will from now on only use Changing the mounting magnets. These offer completely new perspectives.
The disc magnet Ø 15.0 x 5.0 mm N40 nickel - holds 4.8 kg you recommended are perfect for this purpose.
Mounting enamel signs in display cases
Outdoor, protected outdoor area
A metal sign in a typical size of 24 x 16 cm (approx. 500 g in weight) requires two magnets. Smaller signs can be securely attached with just one magnet or smaller magnets. Everything can be easily and flexibly replaced at any time, which is crucial, especially for collectors.

Attaching Enamel Signs to Glass
Indoor
I have, among other things, two large insurance signs that I didn't want to cover up the entire display case with. I attached these signs to the glass pane on the skylight of my room door using pane magnets on both sides. Each sign is held in place with four magnets. I needed a total of eight magnets.
Result: Rock-solid hold. The signs can be moved or removed at any time.
The magnets are very strong. They stick through a pane of glass. The first magnet is held in place on the glass pane. With the other hand, the second magnet is placed nearby on the opposite side of the glass. This magnet automatically finds its counterpart with millimeter precision.
As I said: Automatic and rock-solid!

Attaching Enamel Signs to Acrylic Glass
Indoor
I have several insurance signs in and on shelves. I bought transparent acrylic stands from a retailer.
These stands are ideal for presentation purposes. Dusting them requires extra work. They always have to be moved or lifted.
This is both annoying and dangerous. They are quite wobbly and often stand high on shelves and are difficult to reach.
Your disc magnets also provide a pragmatic remedy for my situation:
The principle is the same as described above. 2-4 disc magnets (depending on the size of the sign) are attached to both sides of the acrylic stand.
Now all that's left to do is position the insurance sign on the stand. Done! The magnets automatically attract each other.
The stand and the sign are now connected to form a handy unit, which also makes dusting easier.
The sign doesn't have to be on the stand; it can also be hung.
If the sign is positioned slightly higher, it is easier for the viewer to read.
The effect is also different: the transparent stand makes the exhibit appear lighter; It practically seems to float.

I personally feel a need to thank you for my magnet deliveries. The use of magnets opened up completely new possibilities for my hobby. Thanks to the magnetic attraction, there are no limits to my creativity.
