Hello,
I would like to present my magnetic application here: Modularizing tabletop miniatures to adapt to different opponents.
With different models, it is possible and also necessary to mount different weapons, support systems, and/or shields. This is less about aesthetics and more about the rules.
Normally, these attachments are permanently glued to the model – many models with different equipment are needed to be prepared for every opponent. By using 2, 3, and 5 mm magnets, the models can be designed modularly, thus saving money in two ways (a model can quickly cost over €10, while some magnets only cost a few tens of cents). The block magnet 3.0 x 1.0 x 1.0 mm N45 nickel - holds 150 g is particularly ideal for making weapons magnetic. It fits perfectly into the existing openings on the model and can be easily integrated (right in the picture). These magnets also have the advantage that, unlike round magnets, the attached parts can only be rotated a few degrees and therefore always point in the correct direction.

Entire arms of larger models can be ideally attached with disc magnet Ø 5.0 x 1.0 mm N45 nickel - holds 290 g, these even hold the alignment position. (left and middle models)
Even with quite small parts, a lot is possible; the disc magnet Ø 2.0 x 1.0 mm N50 nickel - holds 130 g can be very easily concealed on the model (bottom center, the small black dot in the back) and thus allows for the optional attachment of a squad leader's backpack. Even heads can be made interchangeable this way. To install the magnets, 2 mm and 5 mm drill bits, as well as various milling cutters, were used in addition to superglue – simple and hardly noticeable to the untrained eye.

The disc magnet Ø 20.0 x 1.5 mm Y30 ferrite - holds 200 g in the background facilitates the transport of the figures by allowing them to be glued to the underside of the base plates and placed on their corresponding counterparts in the transport case.
