Magnetic tablet holder made of wood
Dear Sir or Madam,
I built an iPad holder/stand using your magnets and would like to present it to you:
Magnets used: rod magnet Ø 3.0 x 15.0 mm N40 nickel - holds 650 g

Material: Wood:
For initial tests, I used softwood because it is easy and quick to work with.
For later versions, I used hardwood, which is more robust and better suited for daily use.
The sealant was linseed oil.
Work steps:
- Marking: Precise work is crucial here. Measure your tablet accurately and mark everything with a pencil.
- Rough cutting of the wood: Proceed according to your own preferences.
- Finishing: The workpiece can be further processed and refined with sandpaper.
- Attaching the magnets: A drill press should be used here. Otherwise, the holes will not be straight and the magnet cannot be inserted properly. Otherwise, for wood, a drill bit the same thickness as the magnet is sufficient, and no glue is needed.
- Finish: I used linseed oil because it was on hand ;) Varnishes are too thick and can render the workpiece unusable.
