Magnets in aquaristics

Magnets in aquariums:

Some of our magnets are repeatedly used in practical aquarium setups. The most popular items here include:

Roots and Stones

Aquarium setup is often limited by a lack of suitable supports. Roots or stones can be adequately secured by gluing, but cannot be adjusted later. Waterproof magnets offer the optimal solution for this problem – by attaching magnets or magnetic mounting materials to these objects, they can be mounted virtually anywhere. The high adhesive force and plastic coating guarantee a secure hold in the desired location and prevent accidental slipping.

Plants

Especially after placing the plants in the tank, adequate attachment is important for their growth. Plants can be attached using magnets to securely anchor them in the soil or to rocks/roots. This prevents possible detachment due to currents or animals, allowing the plants to grow as desired.

Filter system

"Suction cups – the scourge of aquariums," is how our customer described them. Any long-time aquarist has certainly had experience with this method of attachment. Initially, they are easy to attach to the glass with little pressure, but as their lifespan increases, the problem becomes more disillusioning – the suction cups almost completely lose their suction power and thus their adhesion to the glass. The result: floating equipment in the aquarium, endangering the inhabitants or causing defects in the individual devices.

Here, too, magnets offer a flexible and long-term mounting solution.

Magnets in aquaristics as tool holders

Tools such as tweezers, trimmers, scissors, nets, or spatulas are often used for aquascaping. Since these mostly have metal components, they can be perfectly sorted and stored using a metal bar.
