Magnets in the puppet show

Puppet play with magnets? Our customer, from Selje-Puppenspiele, shows us in the following application how she integrates these practical helpers into her stage play.

For this purpose, we used our long-standing favorites, the cube magnet 5.0 x 5.0 x 5.0 mm N42 nickel - holds 1.5 kg.

In the ancient art of puppet and figure theater, modern tricks are also often used today. To perfect the magical moments and the illusion of the living puppet, magnets are reliable, silent, and invisible – simply ingenious! In this example, I glued two cube magnets into each puppet hand and covered them with just a layer of paper. Now any prop made of metal or magnets can be "grasped" and moved by the character without the actor having to intervene. Depending on the desired adhesion, not only the strength and size of the magnet must be chosen, but also a variety of materials can be used as counterparts to the magnet. Here, I used an old saw blade and a threaded nut. Bottle caps, washers of various sizes, and tin foil from the lids of jars or cans also work reliably.

It's simply fun to work this out and then see reliable effects hundreds of times on stage. Great!
