Magnets in underwater photography
Magnets in underwater photography?
Photographing underwater can often be very difficult. Diving itself is already a very demanding hobby due to poor visibility, currents, cold temperatures, and many other hazards. However, when photography comes into play, it becomes a real challenge. Cameras and water are generally not a good idea. Therefore, special precautions must be taken, and often you have to be a bit inventive.
A customer is using the power of our magnets (neodymium: Cube magnet 5.0 x 5.0 x 5.0 mm N42 nickel - holds 1.5 kg, Block magnet 6.0 x 5.0 x 1.8 mm N50 Gold - holds 600 g).

Due to the low light conditions, the flash function automatically activates underwater. However, the mechanically deployed flash cannot be deactivated by the housing. As a result, shots with sufficient exposure do not achieve the desired result.

This can be easily remedied with a few small cuboid and cube magnets. prevent.
Practically, these prevent the flash function from being activated due to their magnetic force on a specific point on the camera body. This allows for optimal exposure without having to open the underwater housing to change camera settings.
