Buying adhesive made easy

No matter what materials you want to glue, you will find the right special adhesive at an affordable price in our shop. Are you unsure which magnetic adhesive to buy? Simply browse through the different categories.
There we will explain to you in detail which applications and materials the respective adhesive is suitable for.

What types of adhesive can you buy?

You will find the following types of adhesives in our shop:

● Adhesive for magnets
With the help of magnetic adhesive, all types of magnets can be attached to various surfaces such as wood or plastic.
This opens up new possible uses for magnetizable objects.

● Cyanoacrylate adhesive
Cyanoacrylate or superglue bonds materials in seconds and is therefore often used in craft projects and repairs of all kinds.

● Rubber-metal adhesive
To bond rubber and metal, suitable adhesive is required. However, if you buy our special rubber-metal adhesive, this is possible without any problems.

● 2-component adhesive
With the 2-component adhesive you can bond all types of materials in a waterproof, shock and impact-resistant manner.
The mixed adhesive is particularly strong and cannot be dissolved chemically. If you buy this glue, you should be careful when using it.

● Spray adhesive
Spray adhesive is particularly suitable for larger areas - this is because it does not cause curling when gluing and is suitable for various materials.

 ● Adhesive dots
If you would rather do without adhesive, adhesive dots are ideal. You can use these to hold light objects in place - for example plastic clothes hooks.

Each variety is suitable for different areas of application. Therefore, plan exactly what type of adhesive work you need to do and which adhesive is best suited for it.

Buy the right adhesive online

In the jungle of adhesives, you can sometimes lose track of things.
After all, you can buy dozens, if not hundreds, of different adhesives online. This wide selection of products may seem intimidating but finding the right one isn‘t as difficult as you might think.
These questions will help you with your search:

● Which materials do I want to bond?
● Is it a large or small adhesive surface?
● How much weight does the adhesive have to hold?
● How quickly does the adhesive surface have to dry?

Based on these criteria, you limit the selection considerably and then only have to choose between different versions of the respective special adhesive.
It's definitely never a bad idea to buy an all-purpose adhesive. However, this cannot help in special applications - for example when it comes to attaching strong magnets or gluing wood outdoors. To do this, you need special magnetic glue or wood glue that is specifically made for outdoor use.

The popular superglue is also useful, but not always the right choice. This is because the glue gun is primarily suitable for small areas and it can also damage neodymium magnets.
For these, we recommend using our magnetic adhesives instead.
Magnetic adhesives do not damage magnetic surfaces and are convenient to apply to various surfaces such as wood, plastic, stone and other materials. A smooth and clean surface is crucial - only then can they guarantee a firm and secure hold.

Tip: For large surfaces, it is important that the adhesive does not dry out too quickly, as the application time is longer due to the larger area. A spray adhesive, for example, is ideal for this.

What is the best all-purpose adhesive?

Superglue is a common all-purpose adhesive.
However, this is not suitable for every type of surface or material.
The purpose of each adhesive is often clear from its name. For example, you should order textile adhesive for gluing fabrics. If you want to decorate pieces of suede, you should buy special leather adhesive. To repair cups or vases, buy porcelain adhesive. If the glass is cracked, however, it is best to use glass adhesive.

Gluing is now increasingly being promoted as an alternative to drilling. An obvious thought - it's faster, you don't have to drill ugly holes in materials and there is less dirt. In some areas, adhesive is actually a good alternative, for example for wood. You can also buy the right metal adhesive or stone adhesive from us to avoid holes in the mailbox or marble.

Which adhesives are suitable for magnets?

In addition to the classic magnetic adhesive, others are also suitable for magnets - such as the 2-component adhesive. Under no circumstances should you use so-called hot adhesive. These have a demagnetizing effect on neodymium.

How do you properly store adhesives?

Before you buy adhesive, you should find out how to store it appropriately - so that it lasts as long as possible. Basically, adhesives only have a limited shelf life. Depending on the item, the exact shelf life can be between a few months and two years. That's why it's important that you store them correctly.
The following key points are important:

● between + 10 °C and + 20 °C
● dry
● dark

It is also extremely important for durability that you close opened packaging as quickly as possible and first remove excess adhesive from the openings. If there are leftovers hanging from the opening, the packaging will not be able to be sealed airtight and the contents will react with the humidity, making it unusable in the long term.
