Project work Mushroom Coach
Illustrating the subterranean, invisible world of the forest mushroom mycelium, which is almost always connected to a tree.
Project work Mushroom Coach
Hello dear Magnet Shop Team, to report on my use of the magnets I ordered from you, I would like to share my project crafting for use with children as part of the DGfM e.V. seminar series on the Mushroom Coach.
Thanks to the magnetic connections, the mushrooms can be set up securely and picked as often as desired, allowing the children to see beneath the suggested forest floor.
The following products were used:
5 x Metal disc Ø 20 with double-sided adhesive tape, white
10 x Disc magnet Ø 10.0 x 1.0 mm N35 nickel - holds 500 g
20 x Disc magnet Ø 8.0 x 2.0 mm Y30 ferrite - holds 150 g
Attaching a plexiglass splash guard with magnets
Due to an official order from the hygiene inspection, we had to install an additional plexiglass splash guard at our cooking and preparation station. The mounting had to be stable yet easily removable to facilitate daily cleaning.
Attaching a plexiglass splash guard with magnets
We therefore opted for magnetic mounting.
Use of magnets
The plexiglass panel is attached laterally to a vertical stainless steel surface.
The magnets you supply act as a clamping and holding mechanism, securely fixing the panel to the metal surface.
Installation requires no tools.
The splash guard can be removed, cleaned, or repositioned within seconds as needed.
Even with frequent opening and cleaning, the positioning remains stable and vibration-free.
What should you pay attention to?
✔ Clean surfaces: Both stainless steel and plexiglass should be free of grease and dust – this ensures better adhesion of the magnets.✔ Beware of scratches: A thin protective film between the magnet and the plexiglass is recommended to prevent scratches.✔ Choose the right magnetic strength: The magnets should not be too weak, but they also don't need to be oversized to allow for easy removal.✔ Consider temperature: Since the splash guard is located near a heat source, use temperature-resistant magnets.✔ Deburr sharp edges: If you are cutting plexiglass yourself, the edges should be lightly sanded to prevent splintering.
What should you avoid?
✘ Do not place magnets directly on very hot surfaces (this can reduce their holding power).✘ Do not use magnets that are too small – this can lead to play or slippage.✘ Do not expose magnets to moisture for extended periods without cleaning them regularly..

Slipway for boats
Magnets are used in boat slipways to reduce slipping when pulling boats out.
Slipway for boats
The magnets adhere well to the boat ramp, which is made of corrugated sheet metal. Additionally, the drilled magnets are placed over the existing screw heads. This prevents them from slipping under heavy load.
Since the boat ramp quickly becomes covered with algae and thus very slippery, the magnets are highly praised by all club members.

"Einstein Puzzle"
Dear Magnet Shop Team,
Enclosed we are sending you our "Einstein Puzzle" project, for which we used the following magnets:
400 self-adhesive magnetic plates 10 x 10 mm (MF-10x10-sk-400)
The Einstein tile is a geometric shape for non-periodic tiling. It can be used to cover a surface without any regularly recurring patterns being recognizable. We laser-cut the pieces from differently colored plywood and attached magnetic plates to the back. The puzzle is actually more challenging than it appears at first glance, because some pieces always have to be inserted mirror-imaged. The magnetic board makes it easier to place the pieces precisely and ensures that the completed puzzle surface doesn't slip.

Puppet play with magnets? Our customer, from Selje-Puppenspiele, shows us in the following application how she integrates these practical helpers into her stage play. For this purpose, we used our long-standing favorites, the cube magnet 5.0 x 5.0 x 5.0 mm N42 nickel - holds 1.5 kg.
Magnets in the puppet show
I'd be delighted if you liked my video and this text and would like to publish it ;-)
In the ancient art of puppet and figure theater, modern tricks are also often used today. To perfect the magical moments and the illusion of the living puppet, magnets are reliable, silent, and invisible – simply ingenious! In this example, I glued two cube magnets into each puppet hand and covered them with just a layer of paper. Now any prop made of metal or magnets can be "grasped" and moved by the character without the actor having to intervene. Depending on the desired adhesion, not only the strength and size of the magnet must be chosen, but also a variety of materials can be used as counterparts to the magnet. Here, I used an old saw blade and a threaded nut. Bottle caps, washers of various sizes, and tin foil from the lids of jars or cans also work reliably.
It's simply fun to work this out and then see reliable effects hundreds of times on stage. Great!
Stylish knife blocks - individual pieces made of wood
Stylish knife blocks - individual pieces made of wood
Our partner Holz-Liebling creates stylish knife blocks - individual pieces made of wood with the help of the magnets in our shop. The work steps explain the processes step by step, so that everyone can make their own unique piece of wood!
The materials used in detail:
Wood of your choice, in our example oak, plum and ash were used
10 x magnets per knife block: Block magnet 40.0 x 10.0 x 5.0 mm N42 nickel - holds 8 kg
wood glue (D3 white glue)
Epoxy two-component adhesive 24 ml transparent twin syringe
wood oil
1 x stainless steel plate
3 x screws
Needed tools:
Circular saw
Jointer/planer
Screw clamps
Table router
Sanding machine with different sandpaper
Brush or rag for applying glue and oil
Cordless drill driver
How the Stylish knife blocks are made:
Cutting, dressing and planing wood
Cut the selected wood into strips with the table saw and then create a straight surface with the planing machine. Bring the wooden strips to an even thickness with the planer and add about 1mm more material to the desired thickness for the later production process.
After leveling and planing, create the glue joint for an optimal glue point.
Glue the wooden boards, let them dry and finally cut them to size
Apply wood glue evenly to the glued joints of the wooden strips using a brush and align. Then attach hold-down device and screw clamps. Double check the panel before the glue sets fully and readjust the strips if necessary.
After the glue has set for about an hour, remove the ferrules and use a scraper to scrape off the residue. This protects machine tables and tools in the further production process and contamination from glue residues is avoided.
Sand the glued panel flat on both sides with a wide belt sander. Cut the wood on the circular saw and divide it exactly in the middle.
Mill a groove
A groove is milled into the inside of both parts for the magnets. The material should only be one to two millimeters thick at this point so that the magnetic force on the contact surface is still strong enough.
Insert magnets and glue for the Stylish knife blocks
Now the blockmagnets are placed in the groove and fixed with the assembly adhesive.
Note: Special care is required when handling the magnets, as they have a very high attractive force. Wrong handling can lead to bruises and injuries.
Glue the block of wood and let it dry
Apply glue evenly to the inside and then join together. Clamp the two parts tightly with sufficient screw clamps.
Grind, oil and mount the stainless steel plate
After the glue has dried and the block is firmly bonded, the wood is sanded one last time. Finally treat the surface of the knife block with an oil and screw on the stainless steel plate.
And done!

Cork tree
Today we present a unique project created with our products: a cork tree.
Cork tree
Hello Magnet Shop Team,Thank you for your advice and the sale of metal tape and magnetic tape. The metal tape adheres very well to the cork wallpaper. I used this to create this cork tree from cork wallpaper and glue it to the wallpaper in my office.
I use the tree as a kind of "PowerPoint" for my courses and presentations. At first, I wanted to buy a magnetic board, but then I found the magnetic strips more individual. I attached self-adhesive metal tape, white, width 35 mm, primer for magnets to the tree itself for the individual information on paper (it adheres very well to the cork wallpaper). The sheets themselves, A3 and 220 g/m², are backed with magnetic tape self-adhesive on one side - 25.4 x 1.5 mm with TESA 4965. This way, I can change the sheets at any time, depending on the topic.

The right destination in sight
The Wiesenburg community's ride-sharing benches. The initiative was founded at the "Fläming-aktiv" participation conference on October 26, 2019 in Wiesenburg.
In the first attempt, the communities of Wiesenburg, Wiesenburg train station, Reetz, and Schmerwitz are participating in the ride-sharing service.
What has been done so far:
The design, construction, and cost estimate were developed by the initiative.
A donation application by OeLaLa in Reetz e.V. to the Mittelbrandenburgische Sparkasse was successful.Financing for five ride-sharing bench stations has been secured.
The approval of the local councils and the municipal administration has been received.
The next step was the construction of a prototype. It was set up in front of the Sensthof in Reetz and tested. The contract has been awarded. The prototype was installed in Reetz at the end of July.
In the next steps, the additional ride-sharing stations were installed.
The Wiesenburg community's ride-sharing benches:The right destination in sight
I have received your neodymium flat bar 120 x 13 x 5 mm with hole and countersink - 35 kg used for our local ride-sharing initiative. The magnetic strip is designed to hold the signs (max. 5 direction indicators) of the ride-sharing destinations in position without mechanical locking. The signs are made of 10 mm thick PVC. A furniture screw securely attaches the signs to the magnetic strip. The force required to release the magnetic connection is optimal. Using their magnetic strip provided the perfect solution!
The Wiesenburg community's carpooling benches
</
A carpooling bench is a specially signposted and marked bench. It is located in central locations and along traffic arteries.People who want to reach a specific destination can sit on the bench and signal their destination to drivers using the permanently installed signs. These contribute to environmental protection. They connect people with one another. There are no insurance-related issues. The passengers are covered by the driver's liability insurance. The ride goes from the bench to the agreed destination. There are no costs for the passenger.Unfortunately, there is also a disadvantage: there is no ride guarantee. Ride-sharing bench users are primarily people with more flexible schedules.
To improve the safety of users, vehicle owners who participate in the ride-sharing service receive a ride-sharing sticker, which they display prominently on their windshield.
The stops will have a uniform appearance.
6 small magnet application examples in the workshop
Our customer often works in his workshop, so he created 6 small examples of magnet applications in the workshop, which we would like to share with you.
For me, these are always objects that I use frequently and therefore want to have within easy reach.
6 small examples of magnet applications in the workshop
1. Folding rule on miter stop
The folding rule is equipped with two ring magnet Ø 14.0 x 4.5 x 4.5 mm N35 nickel with countersunk, always within easy reach on the top of the miter stop. To mount the magnets in the aluminum profile, I added two M3 threads.
2. Earmuffs
The earmuffs always hang on the ceiling support directly above the machine currently in use. The block magnet 20.0 x 20.0 x 3.0 mm N45 nickel - Ø 3.5 mm hole was used. In addition to the M3 thread, the magnet is also glued to the hearing protection with Magnetic super adhesive in bottle with dispensing needle - 20 gr..
3. Hand Broom
The hand broom hangs with a ring magnet Ø 20.0 x 4.0 x 7.0 mm N35 nickel - holds 7.8 kg above the drilling table on the ceiling support.
4. Beveled Board
My beveled board has bevels on 8 edges, ranging from 0.5 mm to 4 mm, increments of 0.5 mm each. This allows me to select a suitable bevel on the fly and also adjust it directly on the table router (guide jig). The board hangs on a support beam directly above the table router. The ring magnet Ø 20.0 x 4.0 x 7.0 mm N35 nickel - holds 7.8 kg is flush with the board. This is easiest done with a guided drill (drill stand / bench drill) and a suitable Forstner bit.
5. Lathe protective board
The protective board protects the lathe bed from dirt when treating surfaces (staining, oiling, varnishing) directly on the lathe. I already use it when sanding and also place the sanding cloth and felt pads there. The rear stop on the board is also helpful for this, so nothing falls off. Thanks to the wooden strip mounted on the underside, which lies in the middle of the bench bed and the flush-mounted ring magnet Ø 20.0 x 6.4 x 5.0 mm N35H nickel with counter bore north, the whole thing can be put on and removed quickly and with one hand. When I'm not using it, it hangs on the ceiling support above the lathe.
6. Japanese saw
My most frequently used tool for small cross cuts is my Japanese Ryoba saw. This hangs on a ring magnet Ø 20.0 x 6.4 x 5.0 mm N35H nickel with countersunk head (north) with a screw hole on the side of the drill cabinet.

Flexible labeling of the berths for the rowing boats
Our customers were looking for a solution for flexible berth markings for rowing boats on the trusses, which they were able to successfully implement with the help of our products.
Rowing boats
Our home is a boathouse at the end of the Cologne-Mülheim promenade. Our space for changing rooms, clubroom, kitchen, and boats is limited and cannot be expanded. The boat park in the hall is well-maintained. This year we celebrated the club's 100th anniversary. We expanded to include a C-1.We took on the challenge of optimization.
We are expecting another E-4x for the summer. This increase means the boats will have to be relocated and moved closer together. (stored on trusses)The trusses are made of steel. We came up with the idea of using their magnetic properties.
Flexible berth marking for rowing boats
We ordered a magnetic tape Marking tape, width 30 mm, black, sold by the meterWe selected the color and height based on the trusses. (black, 30 mm)
To determine the length, we counted the required name tags and multiplied this by the average name length of 25 cm.With a little extra, we ended up with a requirement of 2 m.
The next step was to organize the self-adhesive boat names in white, matching the lettering on the boats, with a letter height of 25 mm.
For implementation, all you need is a cut-resistant surface, a craft knife, and, if necessary, a set square.
In the next step, the adhesive side of the lettering is exposed.
Align the lettering well on the magnetic tape and press firmly onto the entire surface.
Tip: This is particularly suitable for fixing the beveled edge of the back of a set square.
Now the magnetic tape can be cut to fit the lettering with a utility knife.Tip: The set square helps with a clean cut at a 90° angle (or another desired angle) to the tape edge.
The protective paper covering the lettering can then be easily removed.Tip: The protective film can be removed after the boat has been transported. Protect the lettering from scratches.
Rowing boat berth signage
Old signage will be removed
The truss heads will be re-primed and painted
Now each sign will find its perfect place in the boat's storage area. It's a joy to see our beautiful boats together with matching and consistent signage.
Magnetic closure
Today we'll show you how our products were used as a magnetic closure in a company.
Magnetic Closure
Heide Kabel is a renowned manufacturer in the media technology sector. We manufacture high-quality connection panels. We offer years of experience in custom-made solutions.
In one of our Skytower table-mounted panels, we use four times the ring magnet Ø 10.0 x 3.4 x 3.0 mm N42 nickel with counterbore north. These magnets are screwed into the flap of the connection panel. They, in turn, rest on steel spheres, which optimally utilizes the magnetic force.
The Skytower connection panel is an ingenious product. The square dimensions allow the connection panel to be opened from any side. The seating position at the table remains freely selectable.
Using the magnets
The photo shows the exact positioning of our magnets. These are located one in the right and one in the left corner of the flap. The steel spheres are located opposite each other in the corners of the connection panel.Professionally installed, the attractive force of the magnets and steel spheres ensures a secure magnetic closure.
The farrier
The profession of "farrier" is just as necessary today as it was in the past. This craft is essential for farms with livestock and animal husbandry and is highly valued by farmers.
I use several tools in my work.To ensure that they are always at hand, I use your product: Ferrite pot magnet Ø 63.0 x 14.0 mm cylindrical bore, 29 kg.The anvil and magnets are mounted on a stainless steel sheet.
The Farrier
He is a specialist in the "manicure & pedicure" of hoofed animals. Traditionally, the farrier makes the horseshoes and nails himself using the forging process. He adapts the horseshoes to the shape of the hoof. He also trims and rasps the hard horn from the hoof. This regular care, approximately every 6-8 weeks, is recommended by farriers who regularly visit equestrian centers. Approximately 10 mm of horn (wall horn), plus sole, lamellar, and frog horn, should be produced per month. A healthy hoof is harmonious. This allows the animals to walk properly, inflammation is prevented, and the animal always wears the appropriate footwear.
Using our magnets makes our customers' work easier. All tools are within easy reach. The anvil remains firmly and securely attached to the sheet.
Magnets in the wood workshop

Magnetic installation for track lighting system
In today's post, we present a magnetic installation for a track lighting system.
I used approximately 60 times the hook magnet Ø 32 mm FERRITE - white - holds 8 kg.
My plan: to install a comprehensive track lighting system on the ceiling.
No holes should be drilled in the ceiling. Using magnets seemed like the right idea in this case.
The white-painted steel beams seemed ideal for mounting with magnets.
I fashioned small hooks out of wire that gripped the track holders. These can be shaped to your liking.
I used a guideline to align the magnets on the ceiling.
Finally, I attached each strip to the ceiling and slotted them together.
Hook magnets for track lighting systems
An effective solution for magnetic installation of track lighting systems has been created here
I was very surprised by the adhesive force of the individual magnets. These small hook magnets deliver what they promise.
A useful tip from our customer:
What should you pay attention to? Layered surfaces underneath the magnets significantly affect their load-bearing capacity. One layer of varnish is sufficient at the location where you want to attach your magnets. Magnets should not be moved afterward, as this will cause damage to the varnish.
Magnetic refueling aid - AdBlue
Today we received a slightly different, but for our customer, very profitable, application: the magnetic refueling aid for AdBlue.
Magnetic refueling aid - AdBlue
I need about 150 liters of AdBlue for my tractor on my farm each year.A 200-liter drum with a special pump is too expensive and time-consuming for me (I have my own on-site filling station for diesel). Therefore, I initially bought the AdBlue in 10-liter canisters. The price per liter here isn't cheap. (Promotional prices range between €1.00 and €1.50/liter – but you can get significantly more expensive!). At the nearest gas station with an AdBlue pump for trucks, this urea solution costs a reasonable €0.49/liter. However, the gas station is 5 km away, which is a bit too far for me to regularly refuel the tractor, and therefore too time-consuming. Because I'd accumulated vast amounts of empty 10-liter AdBlue canisters over the years, I came up with the idea of using these canisters to bring the AdBlue home from the gas station.
However, the first attempt to fill up was a disappointment:
The pump nozzle kept shutting off, and filling was only possible extremely slowly and with great care.
I researched the reason for this online:The blue-colored filler necks of the AdBlue tanks of most vehicles (at least in trucks and tractors; I don't know about cars) contain a magnet that "unlocks" the pump nozzle for unobstructed flow (I don't know if this is the case at all gas stations, but at least it is at mine). When filling into regular plastic canisters, this magnet is obviously missing, which is precisely what caused my problem. During this internet research, I came across adapters that slide over the front end of the AdBlue pump nozzle. The adapter contains a magnet that "simulates" an AdBlue filler neck for the pump nozzle, thus unlocking it. Such an adapter would cost at least €25 online, which, as a penny pincher, was also too expensive for me (but would still quickly pay for itself thanks to the low AdBlue price at the gas station – see the calculation at the bottom).
So I finally came up with the idea of getting a ring magnet that would work like this adapter:
Placed over the front of the pump nozzle, it should unlock it. I chose a ring magnet Ø 40.0 x 20.0 x 10.0 mm Y35 ferrite - holds 2,7 kg. Of course, the inner diameter is particularly important, because according to the ADAC, AdBlue filler necks have a diameter of 19.75 mm. The outer diameter and height of the magnet are probably less important.
I was excited about the first refueling test with the magnet. Simply pushed it over the front third of the nozzle and hey presto: filling worked without any problems, the nozzle released a decent flow rate!My 10-liter canister was filled quickly.
The only small limitation:You have to find the right spot for the magnet and hold it there with your other hand to prevent it from disappearing into the canister. Unfortunately, the magnet doesn't "stick" to the nozzle. However, the correct spot is easily noticeable by a slight click in the nozzle. (When the mechanism inside recognizes the magnet.)
Conclusion:Since I bought the magnet, I can easily fill up my tractor at home with inexpensive AdBlue. While I previously spent around €150 per year on AdBlue with my annual consumption of around 150 liters and a price of (already "reasonable") €1/liter, now at a price of €0.49 per liter, it's only around €75, half that. The magnet for €0.50 (excluding shipping costs) saves me around €75 per year.I couldn't unlock the car pump nozzle. A little later, I went back to try the truck pump nozzle. It worked perfectly.
Cutting aid
Our magnets also find a helpful and useful application in our customer's sewing room, as a cutting aid.Our customer used the following magnets to create her application:
Rod magnet Ø 5.0 x 15.0 mm N40 nickel - holds 1 kg
Rod magnet Ø 5.0 x 10.0 mm N45 nickel - holds 950 g
Rod magnet Ø 5.0 x 7.0 mm N40 nickel - holds 800 g
The different lengths of the bars change the distance during cutting.
Cutting aid
Usage:Simply let the magnet stick to the scissors. The rod's magnetic attraction ensures reliable adhesion. This can now be used as a spacer. This creates a permanently consistent distance, preventing crooked cuts.
This gadget assists in cutting all pattern pieces. It attaches easily and conveniently to any pair of scissors with a strong magnet. This aid saves time and effort. This ensures the perfect cut, including seam allowance. The guide line runs parallel to the scissors. Continuously and easily adjustable. It can also be used for both right- and left-handed use.

Magnetize and demagnetize tools
In our video, we show you a quick and easy way to magnetize and demagnetize tools.
Magnetizing and demagnetizing tools
Easy to use:
> for magnetizing - slowly guide the tool through the "+" opening, for example, to prevent the screw from dropping or to ensure a secure hold when working overhead.
> for demagnetizing - slowly guide the tool through the "-" opening, for example, to be able to work with non-magnetic tools in the electronics sector.
A practical tool that no workshop should be without and, thanks to its minimal size, fits in any drawer! Whether it's assembling small objects like watches or working overhead: If the screws or small elements don't hang properly or are too tightly attached to the tools, then frustration is immense.
With a Magnetizer / Demagnetizer - self-made magnetic force from our online shop, this can no longer happen to you!

To implement his project, he used the following materials:
3 x Neodymium pot magnet Ø 42.0 x 9.0 mm with counterbore holds 55 kg and a matching screw, washer, and nut.
The following images illustrate the implementation of this project in detail.
Movable under-cabinet light in the workshop
To provide more light in his workshop, our customer installed a removable under-cabinet light on the metal shelves using our products, without any screws. We'll explain how he achieved this in this article.
Movable under-cabinet light in the workshop
The customer used the following magnets for the installation:
Disc magnet Ø 15.0 x 5.0 mm N40 nickel - holds 4.8 kg
NdFeB Deep pot magnet Ø 13 x 20 mm threaded pin M4 steel zinc
The customer purchased an under-cabinet light from a hardware store that came with its own plastic brackets. These brackets were widened using a 4mm drill bit. A threaded deep pot magnet was screwed into the plastic brackets. The magnet's threaded pin was completely removed. Using a suitable Allen key, the thread in the magnet was held in place and simultaneously screwed to the plastic bracket. This allows the under-cabinet light to be easily installed underneath a shelf. Using the magnets, this construction holds securely and can be moved and positioned freely as desired.
As a bonus, the customer also installed a light sensor, which he attached to the metal shelf using the disc magnets mentioned above. His movable under-cabinet light is a very practical and helpful idea!

Journeyman's piece: jewelry mirror-cabinet
Thank you for the flawless magnets I was able to use in my journeyman's piece. The magnets are located in my rotating mechanism with 6 compartments. The compartments are attached to a solid metal rod for rotation, and thanks to the ball bearings and rubber ring, they rotate continuously. With the help of your magnets, I was able to achieve a "locking" effect. This effect is just what you need to prevent the door from hitting the drawers.

In today's magnetic application, self-adhesive magnetic discs make a teacher's daily work easier; Clothespin with magnetic disc: Ideal for pictures on the board
Clothespin with magnetic plates: Ideal for pictures on the board
I am a teacher at a special needs school. We work a lot with visualizations of pictures, pictograms, etc.Everything is always visibly posted on the board. For this, I used 400 self-adhesive magnetic plates 10 x 10 mm.
During my last lesson preparation, my colleague and I had an idea about how I could use the magnets more often, or rather, how I could use my materials more often and save magnets.
What should you pay attention to?
The magnets can be easily glued to the clothespins without any additional tools. One side of the magnetic plates is coated with adhesive, and after removing the protective film, the plates are securely bonded to the clothespin by briefly pressing them.Applying them on both sides makes work easier, as the clothespin can be easily turned over. So you can't get the "wrong side" because both sides are adhesive. After a short preparation, these small tools can be used permanently and can effectively support your daily work from now on!
Skillful presentation of food
In order to offer a variety of desserts, soups, or small snacks without spilling a single jar, a catering company came up with the idea of a skillful food presentation.
Skillful food presentation
We are a catering company in Villingen-Schwenningen. Always on the lookout for new and innovative ideas for food presentation, we came up with the idea of creating a "soup tasting." Also works for a dessert variation with various treats in a glass.
We use:
Ring magnet Ø 14.0 x 4.5 x 4.5 mm N35 nickel with countersunk in the wooden board
Disc magnet Ø 15.0 x 2.0 mm N42 nickel - holds 2.1 kg on the glass
Magnetic super adhesive in bottle with dispensing needle - 20 gr. for gluing onto the glass.
Works great and is very popular with our guests.
Light for the right perspective while drilling
Light is essential for a clear view when drilling.
Light for the right perspective while drilling
Large benchtop drill presses often already have a light built in. Smaller fixtures that can accommodate a conventional drill usually don't have one. However, one of our customers didn't want to do without it and quickly came up with a magnetic solution. A neodymium pot magnet Ø 32.0 x 8.0 mm with countersink - 150°C was mounted on the lamp's mounting bracket, which can now be easily attached to the horizontal arm of the drilling device.
This way, the light is always in the right place, and nothing stands in the way of clean work.

With magnetic tape for perfect sound at Rockantenne
A few days ago, we helped the guys from Rockantenne equip a recording booth (voice booth) with magnetic tape for perfect sound.
With magnetic tape for perfect sound at Rockantenne
The booth was to be equipped with so-called absorbers that are attached to the wall. To ensure these are also removable, we recommended the use of NEODYMIUM Power-Magnetic tape 1000 x 6 x 1.5 mm self-adhesive. The tape was then glued to the foam elements using spray adhesive. This means the absorbers can be easily attached to the wall. Perforated metal strips are screwed on as counterparts for the magnets.
The absorbers ensure that no annoying reverberation occurs, which would negatively affect the sound. The right solution was quickly found with the magnetic tape.
Rockantenne says:
Everything worked wonderfully; the tape had just the right "bite" we needed to keep everything securely attached to the wall, yet still allow it to be removed with a little tug.
Time recording and attendance overview at the THW Meppen
Magnets are used by many aid organizations – both during operations and in day-to-day business. During operations, magnets often help with so-called "situation maps" to quickly assign units to a specific area or operational section and to keep important messages at hand. The Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW) in Meppen now even uses magnets to record the time of emergency personnel and to provide a quick overview of the helpers present. It makes work much easier for managers and executives.

Clear structure on a whiteboard
For this purpose, the organizational structure of the entire local branch is recorded on a large whiteboards / ferro foils. Each emergency responder has their own box containing a card with their name, photo, and barcode. A barcode is used to record deployment and duty time.Individual cards are made with cut-outs from Magnetic C-profile / Labeling strip height 50 mm x 10 meters.
Upon arrival at the accommodation, the emergency worker takes the card from the board and logs in to the time recording system using a barcode scanner. The card is then reattached to the board, and memo magnet Ø 10 x 6.5 mm FERRITE - green - holds 70 g is placed on it. This way, everyone else knows at a glance that the helper is there or on duty. The pictures of the volunteers make the whole thing very personal and vivid :-)
Practical nail bracelet for farrier
To make his work easier, our customer made a practical nail bracelet for himself as a farrier. As a farrier, he needs special nails that are best kept close at hand. With our block magnet 60.0 x 15.0 x 5.0 mm N40 nickel - holds 11.7 kg, the nails hold optimally and are always in the correct position.
Practical nail bracelet for a farrier
I would like to give you an example of a good magnet application.
This is why a nail bracelet is important. is that you use two magnets so that the nails can be arranged in a controlled manner.
The Velcro fastener makes it easy to put on, and the metal plate prevents the magnets from folding together.
This idea was created quickly and easily with the help of our magnets. A different but effective way to simplify work. Many thanks to Mr. Farrier for sending us his practical and magnetic idea!

An existing lamp from a well-known Swedish furniture store is fitted with a heavy metal plate. This is unscrewed and replaced with a turned wooden base of exactly the same size. It has three neodymium pot magnet Ø 20.0 x 7.0 mm with cylinder bore holds 6 kg. This allows the lamp to adhere to all ferrous tools, such as (here) a scroll saw or a lathe (not pictured). If I need the lamp in a location where no metal is available (workbench), I simply place the heavy metal plate of the original underneath it. Wood alone is too light; the lamp would tip over.

Dear Sir or Madam, I drive a Volvo crawler excavator equipped with 2D laser and 3D GPS control. Each attachment (bucket) must be precisely measured around the main pivot point at the end of the boom (length, width, opening and closing angles). A centering hole is located on both sides of the bolt. To precisely position the neodymium pot magnet Ø 60.0 x 15.0 mm, internal thread M8, holds 95 kg on the bolt, I turned a centering point onto an M8 screw. A plumb line is then attached to the other end of the screw, allowing me to easily measure the required points without assistance.

Light installation as an art project with our support
Project:As a student project in the Design department at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle (Saale), we visualize a light cycle using a light source and a slowly rotating mirror. The cycle unfolds on a predetermined radial projection surface.
Use of Magnets:To create a projection surface for the light cycle, a strip of parchment paper is attached to a metal ring (3 m diameter). Only the paper, and not the mounting, is the focus. The light source shines onto the mirror, which reflects on both sides and rotates slowly. A light cycle is visualized on the large parchment ring.
Magnets used:The following products are used to attach the parchment paper to the metal ring: Block magnet 5.0 x 5.0 x 1.2 mm N50 nickel - holds 450 g - Attach to the inside of the metal ring at regular intervals.
A video of the installation can be found here on Vimeo.

Children learn to use magnets
Dear Magnet Shop Team,Participation is the main theme this calendar year for the Raven Group (16 children aged 1.1-3.10 years) at the Kiebitzweg daycare center in the Werl North Family Center. The children are learning to participate in decision-making, to make decisions, and to accept them. Our calendar is designed to help them with this. Every morning, we discuss the day's activities during our morning circle. The children learn the names of the months, days of the week, and dates along the way. Pictograms symbolize the individual activities. These are hung up by the children on the respective day. Using their own symbol, the children indicate their participation in the activities. We faced the question of how to attach the symbols and pictograms to the boards. The material had to be flexible, meet safety requirements, and withstand rough handling.
The laminated pictures were attached to the magnets with double-sided tape and moved around in a test run. The strong adhesive force of the magnets: Disc magnet 25.0 x 3.0 mm Y35 ferrite - holds 750 g, which bear the symbols, convinced us.
The pictures remain displayed throughout the week so that each child can view their choice. At the end of the week, one child takes a photo, which we use to document our calendar in a photo book.
Please do not use neodymium magnets for this!
Due to the high forces involved, children can easily injure themselves.

Colored memo magnets in the after-school care center
Dear Sir or Madam,I would like to briefly document what we have accomplished in our facility using the magnets we purchased from you.We have created an information board in our after-school care center to make it easier for parents and other authorized persons picking up a child to find them in the building.Since we have an "open house" in the afternoons and the children are in different rooms, they place their magnet (which we have labeled with their name) next to the room they will be going to (e.g., the gym). Each class has a different color to make it easier to find your way around the board. When a child is picked up, they put their magnet back in the space labeled with their class (1a, 2b, etc.). Children and parents can also use pictures to identify which teacher is in which room. Our information magnetic board has been very well received by parents, children, and educators and contributes to improving the structure of the facility.

Model construction of a magnetic cross wood stack
Our customer has provided us with their instructions for building a model of a magnetic cross-stack of timber.
Model construction of a magnetic cross wood stack
Hello Magnet-Shop Team, here is my magnetic application. Construction of a model for a cross-stack of timber.Cross-stacks of timber are used to support loads (building collapse) or to enlarge surfaces so that supports (crane, aerial work platforms) don't sink in.
The model is used for the following training:
Aerial Work Platforms
Crane
Heavy Technical Rescue
To explain the cross-stack of timber in theory, I built a model.
Problem with the model: you can't just quickly move it from one place to another. The following magnets are used here: 3 times rod magnet Ø 3.0 x 15.0 mm N40 nickel - holds 650 g. Care must be taken to ensure that all magnets point in the same direction with their polarity.
Construction steps:
Cut the wood to length
Mark the holes
Pre-drill the holes with a 4 mm drill bit
Sand the wood (remove the markings)
Insert the magnets into the wood using a drive tool (machine screw) – ensure the polarity is correct (all pointing in the same direction)

With our colorful magnets, our customer creates an opportunity for creative magnetic climbing in their children's group.
Creative climbing with magnets
Hello Magnet-shop Team,I am a climbing instructor and supervise a children's group aged 4-7 years. Everything has to be playful with children, otherwise it doesn't hold their interest for long.
I bought magnets from you in May of this year. And these are exactly the ones:
Memo magnet Ø 10 x 8 mm NEODYMIUM - green - holds 400 g
Memo magnet Ø 10 x 8 mm NEODYMIUM - yellow - holds 400 g
Memo magnet Ø 10 x 8 mm NEODYMIUM - blue - holds 400 g
The diameter is crucial because these magnets are exactly the same size as an M10 socket head cap screw, which is typically used to attach climbing holds to the wall. The height is also crucial to ensure they don't protrude too far beyond the holds and thus can't accidentally fall off. These colors are chosen because they are part of the color set on my color cube.
I now have the option to mark holds to be used in an exercise. Or, to mark a route, i.e., a series of holds to be climbed.Or, I distribute the magnets on the holds on the wall and the children can collect them. Who has the most? Or, the magnets have to be moved higher and higher from hold to hold while climbing. Or, everyone gets to draw a magnet; everyone with the same color forms a team. Or, who can reach the furthest? The magnets make success visible. Or, all the holds that have been held with the hands are marked with a magnet and can no longer be stepped on. Or... Or...
Back then, I had no idea how versatile these could be for climbing games. My only drawback: I only have three colors so far. But I'll change that soon!

Redesign of a showcase with magnetic paint
Dear Magnet Shop Team, At the beginning of the year, we purchased the rod magnet Ø 5.0 x 10.0 mm N45 nickel - holds 950 g, which we are using to refresh our display case for the community. I simply painted a wooden board several times with Magnetic Paint Dupli-Color gray - 0.5 liters and that was it. Simple, effective, and user-friendly. The magnets hold even laminated sheets firmly in place and are barely noticeable due to their size. We are all absolutely thrilled! You often see large, round magnets in display cases that take up a lot of space from the paper and usually don't adhere well. You're best served with rod magnets!!!
Art exhibition
Our super magnets aren't just for technicians. They're also a sought-after tool in art exhibitions.
Art exhibition
Dear Magnet4you Team,We've been using your magnets in our art education work and exhibition presentations for a long time. The magnets are barely visible and very practical to work with. In December 2013/January 2014, we were able to present our collaborative artwork "Visit to the Artists' House" using them. Our visitors' monotypes were displayed on long steel cables using small magnets. Most recent example: the exhibition "Mobile Phone - My Everything". Here, there are a lot of photographs to display. We do this with your tiny magnets. The photos can be easily moved and aligned correctly. This saves a lot of time. For photos/images, we use: disc magnet Ø 5.0 x 2.0 mm N40 nickel - holds 650 g and disc magnet Ø 1.0 x 1.0 mm N45 nickel - holds 25 g.
Or we use it as an interactive element in the exhibition. It works perfectly for the "Selfie/Suglie" photo series!
The audience is invited to match the correct pairs. The small photographs are mounted on magnetic self-adhesive film and are easy to handle. For Selfie/Suglie, we use: nEODYMIUM Power Magnetic foil 300 x 300 x 1.5 mm self-adhesive.
Next week we have a big project, P[art]. With over 120 students, we are creating a collection of materials on the theme of artists' houses, and the collection will grow daily. To make this easy, we'll work with your magnetic paper, which we'll cut into strips and have the students label and arrange on a giant metal door.
For this, we'll use magnetic Paper / magnetic inkjet paper to print on yourself A4.

Our customer is introducing us to her magnetic application today: a self-made chiroscope as a training device with neodymium magnets.
Self-made chiroscope as a training device with neodymium magnets
Hello, dear magnet-shop team!
I am a vision trainer and run a shop (www.sehgut.de) for vision training products. Among other things, I'm offering a homemade chiroscope, which I've created a wonderful mount for using your rod magnets, the self-adhesive magnetic foil, and the disc magnets.
Products used:
Disc magnet Ø 20.0 x 1.5 mm N45 nickel - holds 2 kg
Rod magnet Ø 4.0 x 10.0 mm N45 nickel - holds 900 g
Magnetic foil self-adhesive on one side DIN A4 - cutable
By the way:A (mirror) chiroscope is a screening and training device used in vision training. With the chiroscope, you look through the two round holes containing magnifying lenses. The mirror/septum clamped underneath separates the eyes' fields of vision. The idea is to test and train hand-eye-brain coordination.
Here, we have achieved a wonderful and reliable holder for the paper using the self-adhesive magnetic foil in combination with the four disc magnets.Furthermore, we have attached two rod magnets to holes in the frame, thus creating an easily replaceable holder. for the separators (mirror or septum).
DIY magnetic gripper
We built a DIY magnetic gripper to fish out nails. Our customer played it safe and consulted with our friendly staff before placing his order; the result is as simple as it is ingenious!
DIY magnetic gripper
Hello,I would like to thank you very much for your helpful advice and suggestions during our phone call.I have finally found the ideal magnet for my application!During the transition period, we burn disposable pallets that contain a lot of nails. After burning, the nails are removed from the ash using this neodymium pot magnet Ø 42.0 x 9.0 mm with counterbore holds 55 kg and disposed of separately.Thank you for your friendly advice!
Material stop with magnets
Our customer's idea saves DIY enthusiasts a lot of time:
Magnets for the correct material stop
Hello Magnet Shop Team!Every hobbyist knows the problem:
If you want to produce many identical parts, or even just want the same distance on one edge, you have to mark everything out first.Constantly marking is annoying! I also don't build a new wooden stop for every part.
The solution: with 3 disc magnet Ø 10.0 x 10.0 mm N48 nickel - holds 4.2 kg allow you to easily adjust any stop on the machine table, so you can get started right away. You only need to mark the first hole correctly to adjust the stop. The magnets can be stored on the side of the machine table.
Color filter fixed to the theater spotlight
A practical application reached us today: Color filter attached to a theater spotlight:
Color filter fixed to the theater spotlight
Hello, At the theater, we sometimes have the problem that common color filters are made of polyester. Using them on large spotlights or lighting devices that emit a lot of heat causes the color to fade or the filters to char in the center, making them unusable. Therefore, the filters are attached with some space between them. This is often done with adhesive tape or wooden clothespins, neither of which is very attractive. We therefore use the neodymium pot magnet Ø 16.0 x 5.0 mm with countersink - 150°C to attach the color filters to the housing. This works great and is very quick.

Our customer had a simple but ingenious idea:
Hello dear magnet-shop team,I would like to introduce my magnet application. We use disc magnet Ø 20.0 x 2.0 mm N45 nickel - holds 2.5 kg, as shown in the photos, to hang packing tape dispensers on metal strips so they're always within reach and never lying around in the way! Fast, easy, and especially practical!

Magnetic tape and magnetic foil as teaching and learning aids
Hello dear Magnet-Shop team,Attached are the pictures of my magnet application:I used your magnetic foil and self-adhesive magnetic tapes for efficient teaching and learning tools.
From the magnetic foil white coating, width 1000 x 0.85 mm, running meters, I made speech bubbles with the help of Cut out with scissors. The labels were written on with a felt-tip pen, or self-printed stickers were applied. (Image top left)
I then created the required headings for my board using magnetic foil Marking tape - width 200 mm - white, sold by the meter. (Picture top right)In order to be able to use the old paper speech bubbles that were already there on the board, I used the magnetic tape self-adhesive on one side - 25.4 x 1.5 mm with TESA 4965. I cut the ribbon to the appropriate length with scissors and glued it to the back.

Attaching an advertising banner
The customer attaches his advertising with our magnets: Attaching an advertising banner
Attaching an advertising banner with magnets
Dear Sir or Madam,I would like to share with you the intended use of your magnets using the attached photos. Since I simply didn't feel like drilling holes in the new hall for mounting hardware for an advertising banner, I came up with the idea of using magnets. I removed the hooks of the magnets and secured the banner with a washer and a suitable screw. The advantage is that the torque is not as great as when extending the lever with the pre-installed hooks, and furthermore, individual magnets are not tempted to be stolen (if they do, the thief would then have to take the entire advertisement with them). The second order has just been placed online, as the magnets are very well suited for this purpose!

Positioning for stencil printers for circuit board assembly
A magnetic application from our customer: positioning for stencil printers for circuit board assembly.
Dear Sir or Madam, Here is some information about my magnetic application. I find the application examples very useful. A page like this with the appropriate keywords would certainly have saved me a lot of research, as I didn't know these things were called "pot magnets." :-)
Positioning for stencil printers for circuit board assembly
My application:
A steel sheet with cutouts is positioned over a circuit board.
Solder paste is applied using a squeegee.
After removing the stencil, small "islands" of solder paste are located at the points where soldering is to take place.
The components are placed in this paste.
After assembly, the circuit board is placed in a special oven.
The solder paste melts and thus solders the components to the circuit board.
The original fixing tool for the printer is quite large and inflexible.
The small pot magnets are therefore ideal for circuit boards with an outer contour and smaller Prototypes.
The following were used:
Neodymium pot magnet Ø 6.0 mm with socket M3 holds 0.5 kg
Neodymium pot magnet Ø 10.0 x 4.5 mm with socket M3 holds 2.5 kg

Two special lessons: Experiments at the elementary school in Wombach.
Experiments at the elementary school in Wombach
Mr. Welzenbach and Mr. Weidner from the Magnetshop in Lohr presented two magnet experts in the classroom. The students experienced the phenomenon of magnetism in a variety of ways.
According to the school's press release, numerous materials on the topic enabled the children to directly engage with the learning content. They marveled at a floating globe and bizarre shapes made of iron filings, measured their strength against a particularly strong magnet, and were able to experience the effect of magnets themselves in many small experiments.
What was new and interesting for many children was that there are also ferrofluid, liquid iron, magnet liquid - 10 ml, and even magnetic paint Magpaint - magnetic wall paint 500 ml can.
After a brief reflection by the children, in which they After the students expressed their enthusiasm for the entertaining lessons, the two guests surprised the third-graders with a very special gift: Each student received a pair of tweeting magnets.
Class teacher Klüg was delighted with the practical teaching materials donated to the school and thanked the two magnet experts for their visit and their small gifts.
