Our black rubber caps adhere to the adhesive side of deep pot magnets, pot magnets, hook magnets, and eyelet magnets automatically thanks to their rubber lip. The gap created between the magnet and the surface slightly reduces the adhesive force, but increases friction in the shear direction.

What are the distinguishing features of self-adhesive rubber discs and rubber caps?
Our self-adhesive rubber discs and caps can be easily attached to the undersides of various magnetic models. There, they protect sensitive surfaces from scratches that can easily occur when metal encounters metal, wood, or similar materials. They also increase the shear strength of the magnet. However, as previously mentioned, the adhesive force of the magnet will decrease slightly when the rubber caps and discs are attached.
How do you attach the self-adhesive discs and rubber caps?
You can attach the adhesive rubber discs by first removing the protective film on the back and then pressing the rubber disc onto the adhesive side of various magnet models. Ensure that the surface is clean, dry, and free of dust or grease so that the high-quality adhesive can bond optimally.
Position the self-adhesive rubber disc or cap in the center of the adhesive surface and press it down evenly so that the entire contact area is covered flush. The diameter of the rubber discs should match the magnet's adhesive surface to ensure reliable protection against damage.
Once pressed on, the high-quality adhesive ensures a secure and lasting hold. Even with regular use, the protective layer remains firmly bonded to the magnet.

If you bump them against rocks or other hard surfaces, the magnets' surface will usually get scratched or worn. The rubber discs, with their flexible rubber coating, prevent this damage.
Do self-adhesive rubber discs affect the adhesive force of magnets?
Attaching a self-adhesive rubber disc creates a thin layer of rubber between the magnet's adhesive surface and the substrate. This additional distance can slightly reduce the maximum force in the tensile direction. However, it simultaneously increases friction in the shearing direction, making the magnet less likely to slip. In practical application, this translates to slightly reduced adhesion but improved stability on smooth surfaces. This inherent effect is not a disadvantage when used correctly.
